Warranty preservation is key if your vehicle is still within its manufacturer’s warranty period, which is anywhere from 3 to 7 years old.  It’s still a widely held belief that one must use a manufacturer’s main dealer for servicing, in order to preserve any remaining warranty, but, in fact, this hasn’t been the case since 2003.

An independent garage, such as Keith Elgin Motor Engineers, can carry out your service exactly as the manufacturer’s servicing schedule dictates, using only manufacturer or OEM parts, and keep any remaining warranty intact, just as a main dealership workshop would.  The difference is it will cost you a lot less, and you’ll be treated as a valued customer, not just a registration plate.

If your vehicle is no longer within its manufacturer’s warranty period, we recommend continuing to follow the manufacturer’s servicing schedule until it’s about 10 years old, but if you prefer, you can choose from our three post-warranty servicing levels:  Major / Full / Interim; the choice is yours.
