If you’re planning a long journey, or if it’s been a while since you last drove your car, it’s a good idea to carry out a few basic checks to make sure your car is safe to drive.

At Keith Elgin Motor Engineers we recommend that you check:

• The tyre tread and pressure
• All the under-bonnet fluid levels
• The wiper blades
• The lights
